The project provides skills development training to women. This includes tailoring, catering, hairdressing, weaving, pedicure, and manicure training. Our hope is that as a result of skills development, training being provided to the women, their livelihood skills will be improved. This will help them raise an income after the program so that they are able to take care of their families. So far all the women who have gone through the SWAR program have been able to establish small income generating activities.
Ten women go through a seven months skills development training after which they are helped to start small businesses.
